Dennis Martire Advances Within LIUNA Ranks

When Dennis Martire began his journey with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), he likely had little idea that it’d span three decades and include immense achievements for workers up and down the east coast of the United States. But his career has done just that. Martire has grown from his initial role as representative for the LIUNA jurisdictional disputes department to an election position with the organization that he’s held since 2002. Martire currently serves, and has served for 18 years, as the vice president and regional manager for the mid-Atlantic region of LIUNA.

Dennis Martire‘s growth in the organization has been tremendous. He’s led workers in Virginia as they unionize and create a new chapter of LIUNA that represents more than 200 individuals. He’s helped improve wage laws in Maryland for many working families. He’s overseen training programs that allow LIUNA members to also grow within their jobs. Martire has grown to become a true leader within LIUNA since he began with the international union in 1990.
